Description

Pheonix 8 provides logistical support for rail mounted forces of "The Valkyries". Carrying supplies of coal and fuel to supply forward units should friendly supplies be unavailable/unobtainable. Normally position behind the front line but within easy reach. Thus nessecitating the need for some defensive weapons.

The train consists of the following.

1x Anti Tank Armoured Draisine. This self propelled diesel railcar is used to provide protection to the lightly defended train. Armed with a 6 pounder and co-ax 7.62mm machine gun, it can engage armoured targets from considerable distance. Can be detached from the main train to independentally scout ahead as necessary. Fitted with smoke launchers to obscure itself in an emergency.

2x Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0ST armoured locomotives. Provides short range motive power for the train, can be supplimented by the diesel drasine should the train have to withdraw quickly.

1x Vehicle flat car. Used to convey combat engineer vehicles aboard the train. When disembarked they can be used repair other armoured trains and station/resupply facilities.

2x Armoured Coal Wagons. These transport the large volumes of coal needed to keep the trains moving long distances.

1x Fuel Wagon. Used to carry fuel both diesel locomotives/draisines. As well as a small supply of kerosine, for CAT aircraft, should a need arise.

1x Armoured Troop Coach. Used to convey a crew of engineers, and relief crews for the armoured and scout trains. Armed with quad .50cal machine guns for AA defence, it provides a significant threat to both air and infantry targets. 2 Lewis guns provide close range defence.

That's a nice Churchill AVRE, to be used by the Royal Corps of Engineers I presume. Also nice M3 halftrack.
